What a sad day this is for soccer fans.  Offering a dollar for the land.  What kind of stupid joke are these negotiations between the Whitecaps and the Port.

Offering a dollar for the land what the hell is that crapp?

There must be a connection between this and the pending announcement of a Retractable Roof for BC Place Stadium next week

Are you reading the same story?   Where do you come up with the "end of the stadium dream"?   Yikes...there are countless examples of private enterprises sharing lease arrangements with land owners. Kerfoot already owns 6 hectares of land...he wants 5 for the revised site.

The Port has also SERIOUSLY overvalued the land which pretty much amounts to extortion...

I don't understand your logic with the BC Place connection.

There's also been some speculation that the Whitecaps have secretly devised a plan B revolving around the Main and Terminal site, given that St Pauls Hospital may not be moving there afterall.

Boy did Pratt and Taylor have a go at the Vancouver Port Authority this afternoon.  It was beautiful!  They said everything that I've wanted to say since this whole saga got started.  And coupled with Ian McIntyre's damning article in the Sun today, the Port Authority is really getting hammered by the media.

Senator Campbell intends on meeting with the two parties this week...we'll see!
