Good luck with your search! Can't wait to see the changes your planning for your site.
When people started criticising your site on this one, I wondered why some radio consultants did go with your idea instead of the one they chose. Big Ed would have a 4.5, probably.
I have great plans for Big Ed Country and I am looking for great talent to join me. I have had lots of positive feed back in regards to bigedcountry.com. Since the launch of Big Ed Country I have grown an audience of over 1500 listeners that is not bad in less then a week.
I don't want to be overly critical...but, Is this serious?
How do you plan to pay for announcers when you're saying you're commercial free 24/7? Do you have any experience in the industry? I don't want to come across as a pompus ass...but this "station" seems to be a few really super-hyper motivated ideas, without sustainability. Unless of course "Big Ed" just has hundreds of thousands of dollars he doesn't mind blowing to have an online-commercial free radio station, in which its advertising revenue comes entirely from banners. How do you plan to pay music royalties? are you paying them even now? or is a cease and desist in your near future? Once again, I do appologize if you have a solid plan in place, but I'm trying to figure out what you're trying to accomplish.
the guy has no vision. He was apparently appealing to former listeners of Big Earl including promising that he would be broadcasting over the air "soon"

Good day,
I have made contact and I have spoke with MCCRA of Canada and also SOCAN. I do have a clear vision as to where and what direction I want to go with this. I would like to showcase new Country Music artists. Music artists that do not make it to the radio airwaves but they have another forum to be heard and gain an audience. Everything is in the process.
The website makes you log in before you can see what it's all about... why would I (or anyone else) sign up for something just because we see a banner with some star's faces on it?

Why must one log in to listen? You will get more people listening if you remove the log in process. Disable all the log in crap this notion of a being a member of a "club" was never a favorite of mine.

I also would like add I am willing to pay royalties once the governing law is in place. I have read and understand Tariff 22..once Tariff 22 is in place it will change the whole industry of broadcast streaming and podcasting. Thank you.
Ok, it's a website with minimal vision. Ever consider it may also be running on minimal cash at this point? Go on. Be brave.Try it on for size.
Yes it's low rent, but it works. Not much fun to look at, but give it a week....
We've been listening for a long set now,and have heard nothing that caused either of us to dive for the dump key. Music mix is Cancon heavy at 1:35 am EST, but seems to move right along. Purely young-country had her singing along.
Splitters are now running. The guy's heart is in the right place.
The analog clock reminds me of my Dad's watch.A "currently playing" display would be a smart add.
And ,although it didnt mix, the live-in-concert version of John Denver's "Country Roads" was a treat."
Glad to see you removed the log in to listen. Who's doing the voice spots on the site. I'm not a big country music fan myself. The stream sounds fine given your broadcasting at 48.
