I'll add my name to the people in the "I LOVE STEVE DARLING" club...I think he'd be better off going back to the sports end of things though...

However, his legs are WAY too skinny for his body...Don Taylor falls in the same catagory!

"not like the Ken and Barbie's you find on station's like KTLA. "

...... You wouldn't be referring to the former CHEK TV personality Michaela Pereira would you?

seriously?

It's probably more like 50-60, but those morning newsies are horribly compensated.

Why do you think Yada turned to Real Estate?

How can anyone question that reliable source?  For Favourite Local Weekend Radio Show, I just voted for CKNW News Talk 980 WARREN ON THE WEEKEND.

I voted for Peter, too!   As well, I voted for the Burning Log on the Fireplace Channel.  Something tells me that I will NOT be considered for the grand prize!

Michaela is a terrific, terrific person who has done so well for herself.
Good on her.  CHEK didn't see what a gem they had.

Steve is a great ambassador for a station. He'll chat up strangers, be very personable and that is a big plus for your TV personality.

I'm surprised Steve's not getting teased for painting his dogs toenails.  That's the ony thing I took away from that cover story....

You're right - that's a minimum. As a co-anchor on a top-rated morning drive newscast, on a top-rated TV station, I am certain Darling is pulling down much, much more than 40K. As to the fact that Yada went to real estate, nobody can blame her. Some people in TV seemed to get the lion's share of the money; others are relegated to the scraps. I don't think she was ever treated fairly in that regard.

Oh Please !!! I wouldn't put much into the posts on Craigslist Rants and Raves.  Do you actually read the posts on that site?  Some of the most juvenile, vile, racist material you'll find anywhere.

No Doubt about that... however those that post over there are still consumers / viewers  and above  all the purpose of the morning news is to get people to watch long enough to view a commercial and  buy that product.

No matter what the rabble are saying on Craigslist, the bottom line is the Morning News on Global has big enough ratings numbers that it makes money. Say, and post what you like about it, but its killing the competition, and until that stops, no amount of message board rants will change things.
