The name isn't great, but remember, that the name of a station is just a small factor in its impact and what it can offer a community.
I'm very interested to see if the "Content Factory" as outlined in the Rogers application for this station comes into play. I somehow doubt it, but you never know.
It may be another Rogers cookie-cutter but judging by how well its done in those markets, the new station shouldn't have a problem being #1 in the Hat as well. Anyone heard how far along Clear Sky is with their Hat station?
I am trying to contact Rock 105 so I can get an ad on their station once they are done testing, this website is the only contact I have been able to find. Can anyone help?

Alot of those Rogers stations have become radio stations that are there to promote their website. A friend of mine in Fort Mac tells me that 75% of their content is driving people to their "VIP Club", that is beyond cookie cutter, that isn't even radio any more.
He also tells me that the new Harvard Station there is on in every business in town and there is a serious hate on for the Rogers stations, so there really is no proof that they would be #1 especially if a book came out today.

Call the station in Lethbridge (Rock106), I'm sure they have the numbers handy. Unless you go find the trailer they have parked down in Medicine Hat, they're a few months from having their full studios (not sure how functional of a Sales office they have at the moment - reps might be working from home till a permanent location is finished).

Anyone know of what the opinion of the GP rock station is? If there's the hate on in the mac is it the same in the peace?

I think the Rogers Fort Mac Rock station isn't being played in businesses because it is not conducive to that environment. Just because a station isn't being played at the Tattered Book & Coffee Shop or Safeway doesn't mean the station isn't being listened to or that the sales aren't high. Would The Bear in Edmonton be heard at Memories Tea House? Never. I wouldn’t say people hate CJAY because most businesses in Calgary have Lite 96 playing. I wonder if your "friend" knows what station sales more.

I would have to say though, the fact that he says they are on in EVERY business and my bud works out at the Tarsands and he says they are all listening out there, in the short amount of time they have been on the air to get that kind of listener penetration is a sign.
From what I have heard the Rogers Rocker has changed quite a bit since the late OK days, toning down and such....classic rock can only stay fresh for so long, in turn the anamosity.
