I am so sad to read about the passing of Brian Hill. I worked with him for many years at News 1130. Brian was a great guy with a wonderful sense of humour and a dedicated news professional. I saw Brian last summer at the national RTNDA conference here in Vancouver. We had a great chat about old times and he was very happy in his role as News Director. My condolences to his wife and family.
I worked with Brian during my time in FSJ and he was a pro and great friend. I was in touch with him almost daily and will miss his humour and friendship. Death is a new beginning and I know you'll excel there just as you did here. I'll miss you buddy.

January 3rd, 1962 - January 27th, 2008 ----------------- It is with great sadness that we received the news of Brian Hill's passing on Sunday January 27th. Brian has been a member of our team here since 2004 when he came on board as our News Director. But that was not his first sojourn in the Peace. Looking back even further Brian was a member of our team from 1991 to 1992 as a news reporter out of Dawson Creek.
Brian's devotion to news was unparalleled. If there was a story to cover, Brian was on it and he worked diligently to make sure that the local community was kept abreast of everything that affected it. At all hours of the day and night he could be found deep in the newsroom putting together stories and making sure the news hit the airwaves. He was an accomplished broadcaster whose professionalism and sense of humour touched everything he did. He will be greatly missed by everyone at our stations and our deepest sympathies go out to his wife Carolyn and his family.
