He wasn't on-air either Monday or Tuesday. Holly Conway was playing her own splitters. Remo was handling evenings. Is Jaxon out at The Beat?

He's been mentioned at least once on yesterday's and today's morning shows, and it was both as part of the old "office humour" schtick. His bio is still up on the site. He's still there.

If anything, he's probably caught a flu bug - it's going around for sure this winter.

Jaxon is under the weather.   It's going around that building.  In fact, I've heard a TONNE of snivelling on the morning show.

I'm actually quite surprised no-one here has mentioned the inane dramatics between Kid and Ben, the soon to be "ex" Butler.

Sorry, but kid's the goose that's laying the golden egg.  I don't think you should be slagging him to people, when it's because of him you have a job.   And Ben should also know that Kid puts his life on the air, and nothing is off limits.

Just my $.02

controversy... real or imagined makes for some good radio.

Buzz, you do a good job too... I just don't get to hear your show as much... but when I do hit afternoon drive shows in Van... I'll take Crave over Beat.

I usually listen to crave in the am until 10 or 11 then switch over after kid's gone and jonny's on.  crave just plays a little too much retro 80's and not enough modern to hold me, but nat and drew have the funny AND intelligent to get me through the mornings.

I doubt think it's a ratings stunt.  In fact, I find it very refreshing that a show puts real stuff on the air, over corny one-liners, and contrived "stunts" invlolving people getting fired, and then re-appearing two weeks after a vacation.

ahhh, people talk a mean game about signing your posts with your real name... but then you actually say what's on your mind and you have to pull the comment.

I agree with Digi, real stunts over contrived... a back stabbing friend is something that any Beat listener could relate too... then Kid flipping out on the listeners... too funny.

I usually listen to a US station in the mornings and switch to the Beat later. Wish Jaxon would come on in the evening instead of the afternoon drive - Holly does a great job. BUT can't wait for the new Hip hop station - about time too!
