For the past couple of months I have been searching for a good Home Page for use that would include good Canadian content etc.
Do you have any suggestions?
Currently I use the Telus one.  But it seems a little "stale".
Appreciate any suggestions and why ...

Create your own. Use iGoogle or Google Reader.

Pick the feeds you want to read and they're right there for you.

I have one set with local news/blogs, food, fashion, tech, entertainment etc etc .. The ultimate showprep page tailored for my needs.

RSS, baby. Why surf to sites that don't have it?

Buzz hits the nail with that one.  RSS feeds on Google is pretty good.

My buddy is a musician and he has the music instruments page on UsedVictoria.com ping him every morning with the new instruments.

NOTE TO BUZZ:  I tried doing as you write, and it keeps coming up with an Error.
I too would like to try something new.  I use cbc.ca page.  Loaded with Canadian content, but a little boring. (if a home page can be boring)
Is there a trick to doing this iGoogle or whatever?  I am a novice at this sort of thing.

Try these basic tutorials:

How to Use Google Reader:

RSS in Plain English:

Try again, Google Reader is a brilliant service that lets me read upwards of 12000 news stories a month.

Look for the canada.com gadget. Then it will let you select from the Canwest papers, including the TC.
