Funny...just as the start of ratings and Corus Radio doesn't even bother promoting their new Q107
morning show with Terry and Patti...must've dangled a pretty big carrot in front of Patti to get her
out of "radio retirement"...guess they must've blown the promo budget on the salaries.

Typical example of "corporate radio" and their half-assed attempts. When will they ever learn??!!

Q107 does promote their new morning show, a bit, by playing a number of spots throughout the day to pump up the show. At the same time, they could do more to promote the new morning crew.
But I definitely wouldn't say Corus has "half-assed attempts" since they have the number one and two stations in Calgary in terms of ratings.

Very true Mav. You can't argue with those numbers. I hate the cross promotion stuff but I guess it's a reality of the biz. I say "Let the week sisters climb their own way out of the basement because if they can't do it by themselves, they don't belong".

Perhaps I should clarify the "promotion" of the new Q107 morning show. Haven't seen any "TV or print
ads".

It's not like Terry and Patti haven't worked together before, if I'm not mistaken, as per their on-air
banter last week, they mentioned this is their "third" time working together.

Perhaps management is giving them time to both get comfortable with each other again, and more
of a "promo" push might happen in the "next" book??!

Anyone care to correct/comment?

I saw a couple of TV spots on the weekend.  Logo and voiceover only, no excerpts and only on the high channels.  But it's wrong to say there's no TV.

they haven't even got the morning show bio on their own Q107 web yet.  Only had about 6 weeks now to get that designed.  Patti and Terry make me realize how good bruce, Sue and Stephen were.

I miss the humour of young Stephen. Bruce can still be heard on QR. Anyone know where Sue went? She's a radio survivor so if she hasn't found work yet, I'm sure she will.
