I listened to The Phil Hendrie Show on Mojo Radio, 730 on the Dial back in the day. Most of you are probably too young to remember Vancouver's Mojo Radio. When Phil Hendrie disappeared, I found his Show via the Internet on a Niagara Radio Station back East. However, he has vanished from there as well. Do any of you know of a Site where one can catch Hendrie's Show? Apparently you can subscribe at his own Site, but I need the money for my Meds! LOL!
I recall catching Phil Hendrie on KIRO AM 710 Seattle the other night, from 10 pm - 1 am PST. However, he's not doing the voice schtick with beaucoup humour that he used to.
If you're not within listening range, KIRO must be streaming as well.
I caught him doing the bit about women joining an all men's golf club and at first I didn't know it was a bit. Does anyone know where to get that one? His website too I suppose?
Interestingly it shows him playing on 14 CFUN but that's news to me, unless it's imminent (God willing it could knock Doc Laura off the local airwaves).
At one point an old improv bud of mine, Janice Ungaro - at one time of Z95 was producing his show but there's no mention of her on the current site.
Phil has a new show on the talk radio network. Talkradionetwork.com The seem to be doing live free streaming. For a fee it seems you can get the achieves. He vowed he'd never return to radio when he gave up the show that was on mojo. He also said his character's were finished on radio and he'd never do them again. He returned with a new show that started as completely political but listening lately the characters are back. He's also just started posting video on you tube doing the characters with their comments for the day.
You can get Phil's latest show synopsis at Overheard and The New Phil Hendrie Show website has the new stuff on mp3 after it airs. KBLO plays some old material.
The show has morphed back into the character driven comedy show that it originally was. You can listen to the latest shows at the link above and there is also a daily podcast of classic clips from that day in Phil Hendrie Show history.
