Let the fur fly....

I heard an ad for Talk Show Idol 2 on the Top Dog the other day.  Sure enough, when I visited the site (http://www.cknw.com/station/talk_idol/index2.cfm) there was the contest again.  But this time, they're actually promising a talk show...for a year!  

Having entered last year (and made it to the, ahem, top four  ) I know they only promised one show - in fact, the prize turned out to be one Sunday afternoon.  Now they're claiming a one-year gig, starting March 30th and they're tossing in a trip to Mexico to boot (http://www.cknw.com/station/ta.....and%20Regs%20_3_.pdf).

Any takers?  Any hope this might finally get Adler off the local airwaves?    

Wish I'd waited 'til this year - sounds like a better prize - at the very least some time in the tropics.

Adler is the only listenable thing on 'NW on Weekdays.  

The rest goes a little something like this...

"Line 2, what do you think? ... Good point.  Thank you for your call, Caller."  (Wash, rinse and repeat.)

But NW Cronies (and those who complain about a lack of personality on radio in general but wince at the very sound of it) don't seem to have any love for ol' Chuck.

Adler sucks. A pre-recorded windbag from the East sitting in Winnie-the-Pooh-peg is not the sort of thing that made the Dawg the Dawg in its day.
Which was, of course live, local windbags.
