Let talk about stations whose websites ignoring their jocks in terms of listing schedules or a jocks pages.  There's lots out there.  I'll start with one.

They mention the announcers on the 'about Country 95' page.  Maybe that's enough?
I think that what's even worse are the stations that have pictures of cartoon characters or movie stars instead of real pix of their announcers (Gee, I didn't know their mid-day person was Homer Simpson!!!), and then ridiculous, fictional, and often very cheesy bios.

"I was raised by a pack of wild dogs, and life was quite...ruff ruff"

If listeners actually take the time to go a station's website, give them something real.

If listeners actually take the time to go to a station's frequency - give them somebody real. ("Ya know... for a 'communications' business....")

Well, what's more annoying - a bio that at least tries to be amusing or a bio that takes up lines and lines of text stating irrelevant facts about the jock. I might be able to imagine a listener chuckling at some cheezy one-liners on a fake bio but is there a single person on Earth who would sit there and say "I can relate to how that midday guy spends his free time trying to figure out why his cat scratches and sheds so much". Cats shed and scratch. You might as well try the relatability of how your perishables are kept cool by refrigeration.

But I always think less is more. This is still an "ugly-people industry" (present company excluded I'm sure!) and has a real credibility that's lacking so much on music and entertainment oriented TV programs. Television (for reasons you may or may not agree with) has the added responsibility of delivering an image that often seems to override the content. Tony Parsons is a talking head you can Trust. Ben Mulroney is a talking head you can mock aroung the water cooler. George Strombolopolopolis is a talking head you can gaze at while you imagine him on a big winged horse, galloping toward you to bring you - sorry, where was I?

An evening jock (who may or may not be voice-tracked) who gets 45 secs of mic time a couple of times an hour - do we need to know his favorite colour or what he had for breakfast this morning? Do we even really need to know what he looks like?

C'mon - Write something over-the-top. It sure beats the bios that immediately lend themselves to a judgement of "bland" before you even listen to the station.

You can be entertaining without sounding like a jackass.  I think those "I was raised by wolves" bios are sad.  But I'm not a "listener"...

Although I tend to think listeners find them even sadder.  You know, they're smarter than most radio people give them credit for.
