Did I mention they're large? In its factory configuration, the US AT&T iPhone billing system is set to send out very detailed bills. One woman, who admittedly is a very heavy user, sending and receiving about 30,000 text messages per month (when does she sleep?), was surprised when her bill arrived in a cardboard box. The bill contained detailed transcripts of all text messages and microscopic analysis of every single moment she spent connected to the EDGE network, to the tune of three hundred pages. Other users report receiving bills ranging from 30 to 150 pages, with printing on both sides. AT&T says that customers can opt for much smaller summary bills, or dispense with paper entirely by accessing their account online and choosing online-only notifications. If you plan to pop for one of these when Rogers launches it in Canada, you might want to check and see what billing option you're signed up for -- particularly if you're fond of your trees.
