The Rafe Mair Show returns at Rafelive.com a message from Talk Show host Rafe Mair
Our first
"Rafe Live" netcast is September 4, 2007 at 10:00-11:00AM. Simply point your web browser to
http://www.RAFELIVE.COM. We will have as our first guests Mayor Lois Jackson of Delta and I’ll want to ask her, now that provincial government decisions on expansion of Deltaport and the new perimeter road have been made, how she feels about the consultation process - if any. We'll then hear from outspoken
Conservative MP John Cummins whose constituency is Delta - Richmond East. I’ll ask John about the "democracy deficit" in our system, about the Delta development and fisheries issues (John is a professional fisherman by trade).
Let me give you a heads up on how my new show will go. This is not a “radio” show as I’ve been accustomed to but something quite different. There’ll be no newscasts, sports and weather – and no ads during the one hour program!
While the show goes around the Globe, we will concentrate on BC and national issues but, as always in the past, will deal with world issues especially, in the months to come, on the 2008 US elections.
The show will always start with the editorial as I have done over my radio career. You will always be invited to respond by phone or by email. In fact, once we get rolling the theme of the show will be your feedback.
We will try to have one guest per show with, again, your feedback welcome either on the phone or online.
In the next week or two before our first show, I’ll tell you more about how the show can come into your homes.
At this point just let me close by saying that “netcasting” is the way of the present and future. If you are concerned as to whether you can receive our program on your computer, please check with a local computer dealer and I’m sure you’ll find that you can receive our program or will be able to with a very minor and inexpensive adjustment.
Many thanks,
Rafe Mair
