BASEBALL -- The Toronto Blue Jays have inked a new TV deal with CBC for eight games this season and as many as 30 next year.

The package this year begins on June 23 with an interleague series against the Colorado Rockies.

Jim Hughson, from Hockey Night in Canada, will call the games. He previously worked on baseball broadcasts in the early 1990s.

Excellent! My favourite baseball broadcast team will always be Hughson and Buck Martinez on TSN. Getting Jim back on baseball is a good thing.
