Son Of A Beach many thanks to Gary Wilcox and Glenn Parfitt and "Royal City Music Project" http://www.rcmpsite.comMay 23, 2007 That's right folks, it's Victorian Mad Mal Potts, a founder of KITN Radio with the Beach Boys. After Mal moved to Vancouver, he opened up Bad Boys Ragge Shoppe. Here's what Gary Wilcox told us: "It's a rarity because Mal didn't allow cameras in the store. The shoppe was unique, both with merchandise and its show-business clientele. People often came in to take pictures, but Mal would stop them. I produced the 2nd Folio of Stars out of the Bad Boys Ragge Shoppe and got to know Mal and the operation quite well. He knew I had a camera and asked if I would take this shot. I may be the only person allowed to take pictures. Despite the name, the store had a women's section called the Bird Cage, now but a distant memory – except for the 3-D ViewMaster shots that I have somewhere." Thanks again to Gary who has submitted even more memories yet to come.
