Unfortunately, I think you might be coming close to only having that option. The upside of that, though, is that your PC will run spanky-fresh lickity-split, just like it used to. Or, you could go out and spend some money on a new Mac. I considered that once, but then I realized that -I wouldn't be able to run Selector -I wouldn't be able to run our digital audio playback system -I'd have to reinvest a lot of money getting Mac versions of all of the software I've accumulated over the years -- the ones that are available, that is -I'd have to invest a lot of time re-learning a lot of those software systems -I'd have a problem exchanging a lot of stuff with the 90% or so of the rest of the world which runs Windows -My game selection would be cut down pretty severely* -I might be lumped in with that smug, condescending bint in the Mac ads who actually makes me root for the Windows guy -I wouldn't be able to do nearly as much hardware tweaking on my systems as I can now So I didn't. =) *Not that I have time for games these days |
