One of our local powerhouses, KPQ AM/FM in Wenatchee, WA has apparently been sold to Cherry Creek Radio out of Denver.  When Fisher Broadcasting was selling its small market stations, Cherry Creek grabbed their 4 properties , and now have grabbed 2 more.  10 stations in Wenatchee and they now have 6 of them.  Jeez, I hate chains.......

Wenatchee has 10 stations?  Wow.  Take that next time a Canadian community of that size complains to the CRTC about too much competition!

I still can't count.  There are 8 signals licensed to within 20 miles of Wenatchee, with at least 4 more translated in (plus a couple of hispanic stations).  I've argued about stations translating out of their .5 before, and Wenatchee's a good example of an overserved market.

KPQ-FM, on the other hand doesn't need a translator.  They reach from the Canadian border to Yakima without any problem.....
