Helluva great place to work.  All of the record store staff upstairs were music-heads, and all of the staff downstairs in The Service Dept Dungeon were tech-heads.  Mr. Johann Berno Shayne and Mr. Bill Reiter used to come in and buy discs from us.  Very cool folks.

Sigh ...

Ah Kelly's.  I remember there being one in Richmond's Lansdowne Mall as a kid.  That's where my dad bought his now antiquated high-end stereo system:  big honking Sansui receiver with a tuning dial and a volume knob each having the diameter of a coffee cup, along with an Akai tape deck, Dual turntable, and a primitive EQ unit.  Cost a few grand in 1981 dollars...hate to think of what that would be adjusted for inflation.
