FREE FM will be Classic Hits.

One of Vista backers is an energy company. This company has 100's of millions. It was VERY important they got approved in GP. Extra bonus if they get in at Fort Mac.

Vista has no problem in the cash flow area. Hence the spoken word Energy spots they will be doing. They have great team when it comes to selling the plan to the CRTC.

They didn't.  Denied.

Newcap, Harvard, and King's Kids got the Fort Mac sticks.

uh, wrong station.  Vista is FreeFM.

Whoops, my mistake...saw the posting for all positions for Free-FM, and I guess I assumed that's who we were talking about.

Or it was the smack.

Apparently the name at the Truhn Station is Q98.9 Change of frequency was approved by the CRTC today...as for Vista and FREE-FM they are playing classic rock, a bit of new rock and some country rock.  Commercial free so far no word when the annoucers and commercials start.

Truhn should've taken SunFM.  It's available.

how classic would THAT be.  update the logo a bit, similar format tightened up a bit to go for the women unceremoniously dumped with the rock flip, Dave "The Kid" back on air, heh.

I take it Truhn is going something other than rock with Free going classic and Roger's being dicks (or wise forward thinkers with first movers advantage, depending how you look at it)

Looks like the myspace has been set to private by Dave @ FREE FM. This user must add you as a friend to see his/her blog. Not that there was any great info anyway. Maybe staff are just out for a couple of rounds. I think Free should of had the website page up for the people of GP during testing. I would say there core listeners can use the net.

I like what Fuel has done with testing bringing in Cochrane making it fun and I really like the name FUEL. They have the web page up it's realy the way to go.

I think Becker has done a great job switching Sun to Rock and I doubt they will lose many listeners.  I wonder if Big Country will lose listeners to Peace River's new stick and Free's southern country.

that's just the shorter slogan:

and hits of the 60's 70's, 80's, 90's and now, with classic rock and today's best music which could feature some country.

So it looks like GP will be without a female-targeted station. Disappointing considering half the population is women. And young women at that. I wonder if this will become a BBM market?

I smell a Billboard war coming up. I kinda think CJXX will win that battle. Maybe a few giant head shots of Peter Hall will pop up!
