Rogers in Victoria doesn't look very healthy, the Ocean down 2 and half points from a year ago. CHTT (Jack) down almost 4 points, looks like JACK should take a hike! The Zone is holding strong and steady. In the Private sector, the only strong gains are CHBE (KOOL FM) under the helm of Curtis Strange. Curtis will do well with the Beat! The Q continues strong, steady and dominates with the Island's Rock
Our Public Broadcaster topped the game this time around with +3.3, Wow! sorry I don't get it, am I really missing something?

.
These are 12+ so keep in mind that it might not say how the stations are truly performing in this or any market. Jack and the Ocean may be a lot healthier than their 12+ share shows. For example both stations may have a dominating hold on women 35-54....so in spite of the overall numbers not being strong, that demo would be good for sales IF they have it.
it dosn't really explain it in regards to, one at the expense of the other... more that there is an appetite for this style of broadcasting.
NW and CFAX are generally at or near the top with old folks... and now the CBC is getting recognized up there too. But I would be interested to see if their average audience is as old as the AMs.
The Q! wins the 25-54... so is the CBC a 12+ champion? or really a 54+ champion?
I haven't looked at the ratings yet in any detail but I would think the CBC has a better quality audience compared to NW or CFAX but I can only back that up with anecdotal evidence. People I know and love listen to CBC... no one I know listens to wither NW or CFAX.
?????? If that's strong and steady then I'm King Kong Bundy
well, I've been watching the Zone grow since inception. Although Modern Rock is not my choice of choice, as a regular Q listener. I find if I don't like the tune on the Q, I go to Jack FM Victoria... if thats not for me, then I go to the Zone and I'm always pleasantly surprised to hear something pleasing to my ears, something thats new, something I believe will end up on other playlists such as the Q and Jack. I believe the Zone has a solid and loyal following and is making steady growth here in the Capital city, just my opinion
