KMTT is tops with Rolling Stone

Seattle's KMTT, 103.7 FM, was named one of the top five rock stations in the country in the current edition of Rolling Stone magazine, in a story titled "Rock Radio's Last Stand."

"The station has earned a reputation as a tastemaker with features like the Mountain Music Lounge, where favored artists like Fiona Apple, Trey Anastasio and Lyle Lovett come into the studio to play cuts from their new albums," said writer Evan Serpick, who did a national search for the best rock stations.

"Seattle is a great radio market, with an audience that truly loves music," said program director Shawn Stewart. "This passion for music makes diverse and adventurous radio possible."

KMTT is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year.
