What a weekend !!!!

We opened our new 30 million $ Edgeworth Centre arena last night with a Kodiaks 9-2 win over St.Albert.

And today we celebrate 2 years on the air here in Camrose.

I am very proud of our team here at CAM-FM as we head toward year #  3 and beyond.  

WE ARE ROCKIN CENTRAL ALBERTA !!!!!

Bangles -  Walk Like An Egyption AND James Blunt . Are you really ROCKEN? Imager is a wannabee of Howie Cogan. During the 8:46 am stopset the word GREAT was used by the imager and voiced commercials at least 10 times. Way To many BOSS (MR. RADIO) radio jock voiced spots on Cam.  

And W1440 also became 1 year old.

I remember turning on my radio, wondering what the heck happened and then proceeded to realign my longwire towards Wainwright.

Is CAM-FM two years old...
Or is that the combination of what was BIG EARL & CAM-FM??

That would be 2 years on the air including earl just to give you the correct answer.

So the earl/cam combo is 2 happy years old.

And tell me, Barks, how can the same people who can run an AM country station that's as successful and profitable as CFCW has been, operate an FM country station that's as bad as Big Earl seems to be? To me, Big Earl just doesn't seem to know where he's going and I'd suggest the ratings show it.

sorry don't have an answer for you on that one as earl made the move to edmonton early in my start here in the rose city.

the camrose listeners did not put up much of a fuss when we switched from earl to cam since they

have cfcw anyway.

And since I have been here doing the morning show since day 1 back in 2005 all I can say is that

the listeners are loyal to cam-fm and what we do on the air here.  

God you people really can't allow yourselves to find ANY positives in the radio industry can you?  Barks shows some pride in his work and gets lambasted for things out of his control.

Congrats Barks, I've enjoyed Cam-fm the few times I've been in camrose and I do have some family in the area that have said repeatedly that Cam-FM has been refreshing for the community.

I love it here....the people are great...the area is great

and our junior hockey team is not too bad either

Hey Barksy!!!  Two years already, hey?  Hired first, and lasted the longest, good on ya bud!  I have next week off, how bout some golf to celebrate?  You book the times, I'll be there.
