An interesting book! A major hit to CFAUX @ #3??! WOW.
Except some major changes for CHTT down the road... If nothing happens, can only blame the lazy bean counters. One reason why JACK's ratings have gone down could be the loss of two major station personalities: Joelle (who moved across the street to KOOL) and Hugh (moved to the prairies).
The Jack Victoria numbers are probably in part that low due to a book technicality. That said, even if you factor in this book being too low, they can't be happy with at least 3 books now trending down.
Losing Hugh and Joelle is probably not the cause of the drop. While I'm sure they're good announcers, I've never considered the format to be announcer-driven and if it was announcer driven, that station had their morning show still there and hired a very good drive guy (have never heard him on that station but do remember him when he was in Calgary)
I wonder if somehow the Jack format is losing some of its lustre and perhaps the presence of Kool is slicing up some of the <35 females which provides a double whammy against the Jack station. Either way Rogers won't take this well and they'll come back firing
Hey Dumpster -- welcome aboard. You know it -- we know it -- the BTS rules. Always has. Always will.
And the thing is -- even if his numbers drop (as if that will ever happen) Rogers keeps paying -- and paying more. It's in his contract. And there's nothing they can do about it. Ted knew the deal going in.
What's Rogers gonna do? Thomas has got the numbers.
I don't know him personally, and I'm not friends of him and the Ocean. Imagine having the chance to work at the same station or even in the same office with all that talent! By the way, where IS Vinny? Can't wait for him to get back!!!!
Let's not forget the AM side of things during Victoria's PM Drive-Home Broadcast Journalist/Talk Show Host Murray Langdon Weekday afternoons from 3pm to 7pm on CFAX1070.com (live-streaming available)
2) How long do we have to read about the BTS? I read all these BTS posts and threw up in my mouth a little. What's a typical break in his show? "Coming up, Celine Dion and I'm going to walk on water and cure the lepers". Like really....enough.
Thanks for bringin' us back from the edge Deuce. Was so very nearly swayed by Jeremy. Was almost going to jump ship. Never heard of the guy or this "zone", but he's dreamy....
But dreamy don't cut it against the BTS. Nothing cuts like that 50-thousand-watt buzzsaw!!

I can't agree with Radio Hack more, enough. Jokes over, thanks.
