Was that Tony Gallagher calling Ray Taliafero last night on KGO 810?

Sure sounded like him.  It was an excellent call.  I guess Gallagher works late nights

What was the topic?  Why did you think it was a sports writer from Vancouver?  Was it acrimonious, or did the caller kiss RT's ass, so he didn't yell at him?  Or talk over him/shout him down and cut him off?

Just wondering.  They've been typical Taliaferro tactics for the past 25 years!

No actually it was a very cordial conversation.  Short and to the point and Taliafero didn't raise his voice.  The topic was U.S. politics.

Ray said the call was from British Columbia so I guess the caller didn't indicate which city he was in.  Sure sounded like Tony Gallagher; then again, ya never know...

Tony comes off as pretty right of centre when he drifts to politics.  He seems like a guy who pays attention to the world outside of hockey.
