Industry Minister questions Bell/Telus re Text msg
Why? I-phones and text messages aren't exactly essentials like Food, shelter, and ohh....gasoline. Let them charge what they want. It'll take care of itself.
The new charge for incoming text messages might be the BEST thing to stem the flow of teenagers who spend waay too much time texting when they should be LEARNING and working on human interaction skills. Maybe when mom and dad get that $500 cell bill and go WTF they'll tell little Johnny he can't have the phone anymore and will have to talk to friends face to face. ORRR, whatever happened to the classic passing notes in class...we had a system back in the day, drop a pencil, pass the message, it got read. And don't get me going on those MORONS who text and drive...
I have a new phone, cost a bunch but I use very few of the options. I open it, I say hello. I close it and the calls over. I never text. There must be a way to stop incoming text....there is a way right?
I went to Telus's website and found a link to contact them via email, and let them know how I felt about paying for incoming texts. They're now going to turn off text messaging on my phone. (No problem, I don't use it, I just get spammed).
