Ted Rogers made a vague, yet concrete announcement confirming the Canadian iPhone release today:

“We’re thrilled to announce that we have a deal with Apple to bring the iPhone to Canada later this year. We can’t tell you any more about it right now, but stay tuned.”

Launch in either June or September is my call.  Since Rogers (the company, not the man) has gone on record that they are not a fan of 'unlimited' plans, my guess is the data plan being proposed will be tiered and will reset every month and will be based on amount of data used.
