Not only was Telus’ adult-oriented download service the first to be offered by any North American wireless carrier, it’ll probably go down be remembered in history as the shortest-lived.  Days after it began making adult pictures and video clips available for purchase, Telus pulled the plug, citing extremely negative reaction from the public and businesses – not to mention condemnation from church officials.

What a surprise!! I don't know what surprises me more...the fact that some suit in Telus said " what a great idea!!" or the fact there are people who wanted this service..."I just can't wait to get home! I need my porn now!!"

Their mistake was yapping about it.

Take a lesson from Rogers and Bell and just gradually introduce it. The people who want it will find it.

But really, what is this all about??? Can you really see anything???  So to me it was just a lot of comments about nothing.  So who cares if you download that stuff???  I mean really folks we have other more important issues to discuss than this????  It was something that they did and well like ADG said, why even bother talking about it.... If people want it they will find it....

It's the same with all porn...if you don't like it, don't look at it.  But don't ruin it for the rest of us

IMHO it's one more thing i don't have to shield my kids from when we're riding public transit, in a restaurant, at the airport/bus depot, etc.  I recall a Sun Letter to the Editor awhile back where a woman was stuck in traffic on the Lions' Gate Bridge and pulled up behind an SUV whose occupants were watching their XXX rated flick on their drop-down DVD player in full view of her kids.  Let's show some decency out there folks...kudos to Telus for smelling the coffee on this one...
