Since its launch in October of 2009, HOT 107 has strongly impacted the Edmonton radiomarket. Consequently, there is now room for at least one additional sales consultant who can develop revenue from an assigned sales list, while generating new revenue streams from unassigned accounts.

Applicants should possess…

• Superior verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• A working knowledge of word-processing, Excel and PowerPoint


Preference will be given to those candidates who have previous sales experience within the media industry – especially within the radio sector – and who can demonstrate an ability to sell “beyond the numbers.”

Ken 'Joonyer' Allen

I see that deejay Ken Allen, Junior, finished his last show with Kelowna's 103.9 The Juice, last week.  His twitter page says he's heading back to the lower mainland.

What happened to "Joonya..."  I thought that he was one of the bright lights at The Juice.  Does anyone know?  How about you, "granny the rube" ?

Meanwhile, K 96.3 also has had its personnel shakeups, with morning man and PD David Larson calling in his old "friend" Tony Peyton (and someone named Lisa) to create a "triangulated" show that Nick Frost of Silk-FM originally introduced to Kelowna audiences back in the 1990's...

So, will the triangulated morning show even "work" anymore in 2010?  That is apparently the big gamble that Larson must taking...

By bringing in Peyton, they had to shunt the big fella (Chris Cleaver) from mornings to afternoon news...Smart move in keeping Cleaver around, good newsman, too!
