Joanie reportedly takes a turn for the worse

Chachi, Joanie needs you. Sad news out of California, where it’s revealed former Happy Days and Joanie Loves Chachi actress Erin Moran is broke and living in a trailer park.

Radar Online and The National Enquirer report the 51-year-old hit the skids after being evicted from her California home. She and hubby Steve Fleischmann, a former furniture mover, are sharing a trailer with his mother in an Indiana mobile home park.

“Life hasn’t been kind to Erin since the foreclosure of her home,” a friend of the duo told The Enquirer.

“She and Steve moved in with his ailing mother at the trailer park a few weeks back. Erin is like an angel to her mother-in-law. She cooks and cleans for her and takes care of her personal hygiene. But to look at Erin today you’d never know she was once one of TV’s biggest stars. Her peaches-and-cream complexion is a maze of wrinkles and crow’s feet. She’s aged terribly."

The source continued, “She’s been mingling with the locals and taking pictures with people who recognize her.” She’s even frequented the local bar, where it’s alleged she showed her breasts to patrons, who didn’t know who she was.

According to IMDB, Moran’s last acting gig was as Mrs. Klien in 2010’s Not Another B Movie and a one-time gig on The Bold and the Beautiful in 2009.

Perhaps Moran will be able to cash in on the lawsuit she and her Happy Days co-stars have waged against their former bosses at CBS Studios and Paramount Pictures. She, Anson Williams, Marion Ross, Don Most and Tom Bosley’s widow are seeking money they believe they’re entitled to from Happy Days’ DVD sales.

Earlier this week, Superior Court judge Elizabeth Allen White denied a motion by CBS and Paramount to dismiss the lawsuit, which opens up the possibility of a trial to determine if the former CBS sitcom stars are entitled to royalties from DVD and merchandising sales.

The Daily Telegraph says that, unless the parties settle out of court, it will go to trial on July 17.
