Patrick Maliha aka Vancouver’s “Mother Theresa” has organized a benefit comedy show for our friend Jennifer Thomson. Over the summer Jenn discovered she’s got thyroid cancer. She’s been successfully battling this horrible disease for almost 4 months now. Please join us on Tuesday, November 24th to help support someone who’s spent a good portion of her life supporting others.
To read about Jenn’s journey in her own words you can check out her Vancouver Province article which was also posted on Puget Sound Radio.

P.S. Don't forget to pick up this weeks Georgia Straight to see the nice little blurb about the benefit in the Arts Time Out Section and to tune in to Urban Rush this Monday to catch myself and Jenn promoting the event :-).

I meant to post yesterday to update. My God, when you're not working and battling cancer, things get busy! ;D
The fundraiser was fantastic! Really fun and it was soooo good to get out and be social. Lots of people showed up - listeners, old colleagues and friends and family. The night was more about seeing people who care about me and taking in all of the support and love.
Thank you to Patrick Maliha for organizing it and to all of the comics who took part. Thank you to those who came out to enjoy the night with me. Thank you to those who couldn't make it but were happy to pass along what they could, but mostly, just thank you to everyone - whether you emailed me and told me to hang in there, or you just thought of me and Bailey and sent us good vibes or you prayed for me....I am truly appreciative of all of it. It's such a great feeling to know that others care.
For those who have inquired, I am doing much better. I did my radiation and am still recovering from the surgery. I have my good days and my bad days but the good outweigh the bad now and I'm feeling better. I'll be monitored over the next few months but should be okay after all of this.
Feel free to keep in touch -
