Rick Dees is out at HOT 92.3 FM (KHHT) (Rhythmic A/C format). Starting Monday, he will not be hosting morning drive, Clear Channel announced late Tuesday.

Greg Ashlock, president and market manager of the Clear Channel stations in Los Angeles, wrote in a memo, "Rick has been with us for a year and we've thoroughly enjoyed every moment. He's a consummate professional and we wish him the best as he pursues some national opportunities. John Ivey will be sharing with you our morning plans for the future later this week."

Ivey is head of programming for Clear Channel stations in Los Angeles. There was no immediate comment from Dees.
