Alberta Broadcaster Kevin Zahara leaves radio to take up position with Premier Redford's PC Government

Puget Sound Radio just learned Kevin Zahara, Assistant Program Director/Music Director for Newcap Alberta’s North West group of stations has resigned.
He's accepted a position with Premier Redfords Communications Office as Press Secretary for the Minister of Aboriginal Relations. .
Kevin has been employed in radio since 1998 while he was still in High School, starting at 850 CKBA Athabasca (Nornet which eventually became a Newcap Station).
He moved to Edson in 2003 as Afternoon Drive Host and became Assistant Program Director/Music Director for the North West Group of stations a few years later when Newcap de-centralized operations and made Edson a hub office. He also was on Edson Town Council since 2007 and has been serving as Vice President of the Boys and Girls Club in Edson and as President of Edson Citizens on Patrol.
Kevin starts his new job on July 9th and will be based in the Alberta Legislature.
