FUN FM... What a Joke!  Why I ask myself, why doesn't Rogers use the CFUN moniker, rather than FUN?... these people really make me shake my head. With the performance of this station to day, I don't think a Dan Freeman will do diddly squat for the ratings and I like Dan.... Rogers Management has to get their act together and if not, perhaps this frequency will become the all new Rogers Sports Radio outlet for Vancouver?

How could Jimmy Pattison be happy with these numbers for the PEAK? even JR country isn't doing what it could....

Will Astral consume The Shore?

I'm impressed with the steady climb of WX

I am clueless. How can a station have more cume, more daily cume, but a lower share, like way lower?  How do you make sense of this?

Well, it means lotsa folks are sampling the station .. but the hours spent listening are way below the leaders in the market.

Look at CKNW's cume numbers.  Their daily cume is exceeded by 5 other stations. But the people who do tune to NW are staying for extended periods of time, almost never going elsewhere, which results in the very healthy share number.

First of all, PPM has only been in Canada for a couple of years.

Before that it was known as BBM.

Perhaps that's what you mean in your reference to the past 20 years?

BBM was paper based, required a diary to be filled in by participants and released in book form several times annually.

PPM is electronically based and follows listeners around and makes a note of every time they change stations and a report is issued every several weeks. Supposedly much more accurate than BBM.

Many stations benefitted from PPM, getting higher numbers than they had seen in the past. But, other stations lost listeners to the same method. Safe to say the jury is still out on the better system?
