Club Six host Bob Aylward inducted
into Victoria Music Hall Of Fame
as Most Influential Broadcaster

Bob Alyward was inducted into the Victoria Music HOF "by HOF founder Glenn Parfitt

In the 1960's, Bob Aylward was the host of CHEK TV's "Club 6". It was a music and dance show for teenagers and Bob was Victoria's answer to "Dick Clark'. Bob was always featuring young new talent on his show and many musicians enjoyed the experience of performing in front of a TV camera for the first time.

Bob was the first broadcaster inducted into the Victoria Music Hall of Fame but due to circumstances was unable to attend the 2007 celebration and hadn't received his certificate or caricature until yesterday. Attending yesterday's Victoria Broadcasters Club luncheon, Bob was taken off guard when Glenn Parfitt from the Royal City Music Project entered the room and presented him with his award

Congratulations to Bob Aylward. Bob , Joe Easingwood, Bill Ozard, and I all started working at CJVI about the same time. Walter Cownden was Program Director and Bill Guild was the GM. Bob spent much of his air time in the CJVI plaid logo VW van roaming Victoria on a program called, "Around Victoria Today".
