CKLQ has received approval from the CRTC to shift to FM while also continuing to broadcast in AM
“The FM band will allow listeners in and around Brandon to have better sound quality, while the AM band allows listeners from as far away as the Saskatchewan border and the U.S. border to continue listening to CKLQ,” Westman Communications Group president Dave Baxter said.

I love this! It makes so much sense to utilize the am radio dial. I say, begone the days requiring separate programming to be run on your am and fm. Should be done in more markets.
