Fox News chief White House correspondent Ed Henry will not be appearing on the channel for the time being, following a report in In Touch Weekly that he cheated on his wife with a Las Vegas hostess.

“We recently became aware of Ed’s personal issues and he’s taking some time off to work things out,” a Fox News spokesperson told POLITICO in a statement.

TV talent contracts often have so-called “morality clauses,” that allow the employer to suspend or let go with cause talent that embarrass the company in some way. It is not clear whether Henry’s contract had such a clause. It is also not clear when or if Henry will return to work at Fox News.

In 2013, NBC “Dateline” anchor Chris Hansen was fired by the network, after Radar Magazine published a story documenting an affair he was having with a local news reporter.

Henry joined Fox News in 2011 as chief White House correspondent. He was previously the White House correspondent for CNN.

  1. Couldn’t happen to a more deserving twit. Can’t remember his demeanour on CNN but at Fox he always reports with a smirk, like he’s in on some joke.

My personal favourite Fox moment came during Megyn Kelly’s Thursday show when guest Michael Moore, after critiquing the abysmal response of governments to the Flint, Michigan water crisis, complimented Megyn for being the “LeBron James” of the network. And when he wished her well in contract negotiations, she didn’t deny his claim she’s considering jumping to another employer.

Kelly’s exit to greener pastures and more hospitable surroundings would serve Fox right. Murdoch and Ailes were so tepid in denouncing Trump’s initial “bleeding all over” slur against Megyn. It was only when Trump insulted her a couple weeks later that they at least mustered up some indignation.

  2. I hope the overrated self centered Megyn Kelly leaves Fox News.

If it wasn’t for the O’Reilly Factor lead in and Bill O’Reilly promoting her on his program over the years she would be probably be looking for another job by now.

After all O’Reilly did for her, she then had the gall to say O’Reilly should of defended her more regarding Trump’s statements during and after the GOP debate. What an ungrateful twit she is.

IMO, she is the Kelly Ripa of cable news. They both have a lot in common.
